FEP (Encapsulated) O-Rings

Encapsulated O-Rings consist of an elastomer inner ring and a seamless sheath which surrounds the elastomer ring. Similar to PTFE O-Rings encapsulated O-Rings are used wherever the chemical resistance of normal elastomer O-Rings are not sufficient. The required elasticity is provided by the elastomer ring, the chemical resistance by the seamless sheath.

Advantages of encapsulated O-Rings:

• chemically resistant;
• wide range of thermal stability;
• low permeability;
• low friction.

The encapsulated O-Rings are available in the following materials:

• encapsulated FEP/FKM;
• encapsulated FEP/VMQ;
• encapsulated PFA/FKM;
• encapsulated PFA/VMQ.

  　　FEP包覆氟橡胶O型圈将橡胶的弹性和密封性与Teflon的耐化学性有机的结合起来，它是由一个硅胶或Viton胶制的内芯和相对较薄的Teflon　FEP或Teflon　PFA外覆组合而成，这种橡胶Teflon密封圈具有优异的密封性能。
  
  橡胶O形圈易磨损、耐化学腐蚀性和抗气体渗透性能差，纯Telfon　O形圈硬度较高能够抗压缩但是弹性较差。
  
  外覆Teflon　FEP/Teflon　PFA　O形圈具有良好的抗溶涨性和化学稳定性（除非在高温下受到碱金属、氟和一些卤化物的侵蚀）在靠近橡胶O形圈附近有很好的弹性，Telfon　FEP/Teflon　PFA的摩擦系数非常小（仅为0.1~0.2），而且具有优良的抗气体渗透性，这些性能使得FEP包覆氟橡胶O型圈能够真正应用于恶劣的环境中。

  适用温度范围
  Teflon　FEP外壳：-60℃~180℃可在200℃高温下较短时间使用
  Teflon　PFA外壳：-60℃~230℃可在250℃高温下较短时间使用。
